Merry Christmas and the best for 2007!

I am very happy at this moment. It has been awhile writing stories on my blog, but I promise to be active again in January. The last weeks were very busy and hectic. Tens of interviews were conducted in Kampala and upcountry. In January it is time for data analysis and report writing. On the 9th of February I will fly back to Holland. Time is flying....

But now it is time to celebrate holidays. My Dutch friend Dirk is now above the Sahara desert and will arrive within a few hours. Tomorrow we leave Kampala to travel around. We will explore western Uganda to view chimps, other wildlife and a beautiful lake before we continue to Rwanda. In this tiny country we made plans to climb a vulcano near the border of Congo and relax near Lake Kivu. In Kigali we intend to visit the genocide (1994) museum. During Christmas last year I enjoyed the snow of Kyoto in Japan, now the pleasant Ugandan climate. The 31st we celebrate new year in Kampala.

Wish you all the best for the coming period, take care!
